The objective of this project is to obtain useful insights in how to create and develop my own fashion brand and to expand my knowledge and exceed my limits as a designer.
Objective
Molten is a brand that aims to explore the boundaries of fashion by elevating the designs in shape, material, and purpose. Giving the designs a futuristic and fun aesthetic combined with a modern concept of multipurpose.
“Everywear by Molten” is an innovative line that blurs the boundaries between swimwear and outerwear, offering a range of statement garments designed for water and beyond.
The collection was confectioned with recycled polyester and silicone to bring to life the “Wet out of water effect”. The intention is to extend the water-inspired concept beyond the piece's purpose and functionality options. The incorporation of silicone not only enhances the visual appeal to the design but also the garment’s durability and water-resistant properties.
The 3D renders convey a stage of experimentation and decontextualization. The modern alien-like aesthetics portray a fresh outlook that goes beyond any traditional known concepts of swimwear and outerwear.
In this fresh perspective, clothing is detached from its usual purpose and function, allowing for a reactivation of freedom, curiosity, and creativity when interacting with Molten’s collection pieces. This approach encourages individuals to explore new ways of wearing and experiencing clothing beyond conventional norms.
